Technical Expert

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years of market research / Technical Operations experience
- Recognized post-matric qualification.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data.
- Competence and experience using software and tools such as CSS and HTML is advantageous.

**Technical Requirements**:

- Proficient with the technology needed for research operations as well as the ability to identify and assess new technologies which could add value to the business
- Knowledge and understanding of core statistical techniques, metrics and approaches used in experience management measurement programmes and research

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Team Leadership and Culture**:

- Encourage curiosity and learning and living the company values.
- A team player, able to support their fellow team members, as well as work together to achieve XMT team priorities
- Play a role in the upskilling and development of more junior staff in the team

**Project Initiation/Proposal**:

- Attend necessary briefings and scoping meetings
- Helps to ascertain the best technical approach.
- Develops a project plan with relevant team members.
- Manage projects to ensure timeline delivery.

**Planning/Project Kick Offs**
- Attend kick off meetings.
- Communicate with client facing team on status of technical projects.
- Able to assist technically in the formulation of a solution which meets the research objectives of the client.
- Considers and communicate multiple technical options to fulfil the clients research objectives
- Assists in completing the technical specific items of the project plan.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on technical limitations, new developments and technical best practice
- Investigate best approach for survey flow with the research team.
- Assess integration requirements.
- Receives query / investigation request.
- Does internal and external research when approaching a technical queries.

**Project Delivery/Implementation**:

- Conducts final technical testing before communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Approved survey collateral to be communicated to internal stakeholders
- Tests according to documentation / feedback / understanding.
- Ongoing monitoring of resolved queries.
- To attend all project meetings to assist in aligning all stakeholders.

**Testing and Deploys**:

- Set up a briefing session with the relevant stakeholders to understand the request
- Develop / give input into a project plan.
- Implementation of the testing plan
- Assist in communicating deploy feedback to the relevant stakeholders in a manner that is clear and concise.
- Assist in developing clear communication and documentation which can be understood by all stakeholders.

**Dev and Product Dev Support**:

- Assist in translating technical jargon / wording into an easily understandable manner giving it context to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure Projects / Fixes / Developments remain in the scope that has been communicated.

**Research, Insights and Analytics Skills Transfer**:

- Taking the time to upskill through learning platforms and in person trainings.
- Mentoring, training, and guiding more junior team members on all parts of the research process and Insights Platform
- Sharing information from conferences, webinars, articles, industry papers, ESOMAR reports and other sources

**People Management**:

- Continuous feedback on performance
- Supports in the personal development and succession planning of team members.
- Management of capacity and resourcing
- Assists in the active development of junior employees
