IQbusiness is a leading management consulting firm. Our Innovative Analysis Team is seeking and experienced Senior Systems Analyst with a strong background in technical analysis and a proven track record in delivering successful projects within the Financial Services sector.

The **Senior Systems Analyst** will be responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of complex information systems. This role requires extensive experience in both business processes and technical systems to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with business goals. **The Senior Systems Analyst will mentor junior analysts**, work closely with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external vendors, and play a key role in strategic planning and project execution.

**Key Responsibilities and/or output areas include, but are not limited to**:
**Advanced Requirements Gathering and Analysis**:
Lead the collection and documentation of business and technical requirements from stakeholders.

Conduct in-depth feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.

**Complex System Design and Development**:
Develop detailed, high-level system specifications and design documents.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs and adhere to architectural standards.

Oversee the integration of new systems with existing infrastructure.

**Implementation and Quality Assurance**:
Lead the implementation and deployment of system solutions.

Develop comprehensive test plans and coordinate testing efforts to ensure system quality and performance.

Identify, document, and resolve complex issues during testing and post-implementation phases.

**Strategic Planning and Project Leadership**:
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

**Maintenance and Continuous Improvement**:
Experience in Providing expert-level support and maintenance for existing systems beneficial.

Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements.

Implement updates and improvements to existing systems as needed.

**Mentorship and Leadership**:
Mentor and provide guidance to junior systems analysts and other team members.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Share best practices and promote continuous learning within the team.

**Documentation and Training**:
Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and process diagrams.

Conduct training sessions and provide advanced support to end-users and stakeholders on system functionalities and best practices.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- **Minimum** of 5-7 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a related role, **with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position.**

**Technical Expertise**:

- Deep understanding of system analysis and design methodologies.
- Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience with databases, SQL, and data modelling (ERDs, DFDs).
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and system integration.
- Advanced understanding of network architecture and security principles (ACORD Framework, SOA, TOGAF, and ARCHIMATE).
- Experience with tools such as Confluence and Jira.

**Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex systems and processes.
- Expertise in translating intricate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

**Advanced Communication Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Strong presentation skills for stakeholder engagement and decision-making processes.

**Education Qualification**:

- Matric.
- University Qualification, Certificate or Diploma, aligned to relevant experience - Relevant Bachelors’ Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMP) are highly desirable.
