**Job Purpose**:
To manage asset master data by processing transactions such as asset and MRN creation, asset transfers and asset retirements in order to ensure that the company has an accurate asset register. This role is a 12-month contract, reporting to the Fixed Asset Accounting Lead and the role is based in Cape Town.

**Principal Accountabilities**:
**ASSET AND MRN CREATION**:

- Verify completeness and accuracy of information supplied for Asset Capitalisation.
- Create and capitalise assets into the Fixed Asset Register.
- Create new MRN records.
- Ensure all assets created are linked to a physical business location.
- Expense vs. Capital requisition review for compliance to IFRS and company policy.
- Accurate recording of asset transfers including asset retirements and disposals.

**CUSTOMER AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT**:

- Ensure Job Family/Divisional alignment with customer and stakeholder strategy and policy.
- Engage internal customers and stakeholders on service/delivery needs.
- Ensure related SLA's are adhered to.
- Manage relations with relevant stakeholders and engage/ consult with all stakeholders to determine timelines.
- Engage and consult with all stakeholders to determine timelines.
- Engage with customers/stakeholders in a customer centric manner in order to deliver outstanding service and support.
- Facilitate knowledge and skills transfer within the Job Family.
- Foster team spirit.

**Requirements**:
**Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences**:
**Essential**
- NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate in Finance/Assets or Inventory Management).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Administration.
- Understanding of Accounting principles/practices.
- Knowledge of relevant Accounting Standards.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Being committed to delivering quality outputs, with a high concern for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team orientated and customer focused.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with little or no supervision, and display excellent time management skills.
- Strong performance in a face paced environment.
