Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- PhD (completed or evidence of near completion) in Linguistics;- First language fluency in one of South Africa's official languages other than English or Afrikaans, and the ability to function in a multilingual environment;- Specialisation (at PhD level) in the morphosyntax of one of South Africa's official languages other than English or Afrikaans;- Teaching experience in morphosyntax and at least one of the following: language acquisition, phonetics/phonology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, semantics, sign language linguistics, or
sociolinguistics;At least two years' teaching experience in Linguistics in higher education;
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in coordinating, developing, and strengthening the academic project of the Department.

Applicants invited for interviews will be required to give a talk on their current research and present a lecture for undergraduate students._**
- PhD in Taalwetenskap (voltooid of bewys van bykanse voltooiing);- Eerstetaalvlotheid in 'n amptelike Suid-Afrikaans taal buiten Afrikaans of Engels, en die vermoë om in 'n meertalige omgewing te funksioneer;- Spesialisering (op PhD-vlak) in die morfosintaksis van een van Suid-Afrika se amptelike tale buiten Afrikaans en Engels;- Onderrigervaring in morfosintaksis en minstens een van die volgende: taalverwerwing, fonetiek/fonologie, pragmatiek, psigolinguistiek, semantiek, gebaretaallinguistiek, of sosiolinguistiek;- Minstens twee jaar onderrigervaring in Taalwetenskap in hoëronderwys;
- Die vermoë om onafhanklik sowel om as deel van 'n span te werk om die akademiese projek van die Departement te koördineer, ontwikkel en versterk.
