- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules;- Research and publication;-

- Department citizenship, including in a range of departmental activities such as meetings, seminars and workshops;- Working collegially and collectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Doctorate in Anthropology (related disciplines will be considered if scholarship has anthropological relevance);
- Experience in teaching large undergraduate classes (i.e. classes with enrolments of 200 students or more);
- A promising publication record (demonstrated by two peer-reviewed sole-authored journal articles, one of which should be in an internationally based journal);
- Excellent communication skills;

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Postgraduate teaching experience- Postgraduate supervision experience at the Master's level;-
- Research experience outside South Africa;-
- Experience of hybrid teaching;- Teaching ability in one of the following anthropological fields:
1. Medical Anthropology; 2. Political Anthropology; 3. Semiotics or Linguistic Anthropology; 4. History of Anthropological Thought/ Historical Anthropology.
