Quant Analyst and Fixed Income Trader

Join this established niche brokerage who service institutional and hedge fund clients (both local and international), across a variety of asset classes (equity derivatives, fixed income and currencies).

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist with the management of client orders, reporting and booking
- Admin: Daily and weekly reports, processing book overs, resolve settlement issues with relevant parties
- Assist with Generating and distributing bespoke & recurring research products and trade ideas.

Provide quantitative fixed income research to clients and be able to work on client specific bespoke research projects as well as daily reports that are sent out to clients
- Timeous responses to tasks and requests from team and client queries
- Participation in morning meetings
- Revenue generating focus (be proactive and able to take initiative)
- Manage and execute orders with due care and accountability
- Patricipate in and arrange regular client interaction (as well as roadshows)

Assist with trading fixed income products on the desk (managing and executing orders) and send out trade ideas

**Required experience**
- 0 - 2 years quant analysis / fixed income trading experience
- Proficiency on trading or information systems (Bloomberg) (Advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills (including VBA, SQL)

**Required Qualifications**:
Tertiary qualification (preferably a Degree in Quants/Maths/Statistics/Economics)

You will be required to write and pass the relevant market trading exams (RPE) & bond settlement exams
- Self-starter, eager to learn and embrace networking opportunities

- Personable and confident with the ability to converse professionally with clients
- Team player, able to provide support/assistance but still take personal responsibility
- Accuracy with Attention to detail
- Problem solver
