IT & Infrastructure Manager

**Responsibilities: (include but not limited to)**
- IT Infrastructure which encompasses:
- Lead a team that will deliver and meet the business's goals and objectives aligned to its strategy
- Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
- Formulate and implement the necessary policies and procedures
- Execute strategy and the necessary IT planning and budgeting
- Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
- Take ownership for the management of all IT assets which includes maintenance, care, licenses, set-up, etc
- Manage project delivery expectations related to the set-up and end of each new cohort
- Project scoping for costing and scheduling purposes
- Effective and professional delivery of first and second-line helpdesk support
- Procurement of IT equipment for all staff
- IT Governance: IT Risks, IT security, Compliance & Audits
- Budget management, cost control and & technology purchase validations
- Space Management: (Cape Town and Johannesburg Campuses)
- Ensure campus space is fit for purpose and offers a well-managed learning environment
- Manage maintenance activities and SLAs related to service providers
- Use best business practices to manage and reduce operating costs
- Deliver exceptional building and facility cleanliness
- Assure positive customer experience through quality maintenance and cleaning practices
- Ensure that all tasks are performed on schedule with maximum efficiency
- Leadership:
- Manage and develop all team members, conducting regular reviews, providing feedback and driving performance management to ensure that they perform their tasks at the highest quality
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by management and or leadership
**Qualifications And Experience**
- A relevant degree in engineering, computer science, or an equivalent qualification (preferred)
- Project management qualification (desirable)
**Preferred Skills**
- A relevant IT and Technical qualification or relevant experience
- Project management qualification or relevant experience
- 3-5 years proven working experience in an IT and Infrastructure manager or similar role
- 3+ years general and practical building or facilities management experience
- Ability to travel between campuses (not negotiable)
- Excellent knowledge and experience of technical management, information analysis, PC hardware and software systems, network administration and network installations
- Knowledge and experience with OHSA, relevant legislations as well as safety, fire and emergency procedures
- Knowledge of SLA's and lease agreements will be advantageous
- Knowledge of basic technology in building (electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning systems, plumbing and construction) is essential
- Knowledge of day-to-day operations (cleaning, security)
- Knowledge of cost budgeting and control.
- Strong technical communication skills: the ability to articulate the key differentiators of our solution and engage in technical discussions with customers
- Ability to interact with senior management in the organization and work in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism and the ability to use diplomacy in working relationships to deal with conflict and to arbitrate solutions successfully
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Flexibility open to change, doing what it takes to get the job done
