**Position Overview**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth research on a variety of topics, ranging from domestic and international politics to socioeconomic trends and emerging technologies.
- Write engaging articles, op-eds, blog posts, and other written content based on research findings and analysis.
- Monitor news developments, analyze media coverage, and identify opportunities to contribute expert commentary and insights.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop research projects, reports, and publications that address current challenges and opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships with journalists, editors, and media organizations to pitch stories, secure coverage, and enhance the visibility of our work.
- Assist in organizing public events, workshops, and webinars to disseminate research findings and engage with stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools and technologies relevant to journalism and research.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities, including proficiency in gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting data from multiple sources.
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of current affairs, global issues, and public policy debates.
- Experience working as a journalist, research analyst, or communications professional is preferred.
- Familiarity with digital media platforms, social media management, and content marketing strategies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate complex ideas persuasively.

**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
