Fitter and Turner

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a qualified **Fitter & Turner** with **at least 5 years experience** in precision machining, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical equipment. You will work in our workshop and on-site teams to fit, turn, and overhaul rotating machinery, ensuring reliable operation and mínimal downtime.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble components (shafts, gears, bearings) to tight tolerances
- Align and install mechanical assemblies on pumps, compressors, and gearboxes
- Perform inspections, testing, and fine adjustments on completed work
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls both in the workshop and on site
- Maintain accurate job, material, and quality records
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements

**Requirements**:

- Trade Certificate (Fitter & Turner) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum **5 years’ experience** in an industrial or mining environment
- Proficient in manual and CNC machining processes
- Skilled with precision measurement tools (micrometers, verniers, dial indicators)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset
