Centurion, South Africa Lomeza Mining Services Full time

Lomeza Group (Pty) Ltd is looking for a passionate and goal driven Miner/Team Leader, who will be based at Kalagadi Manganese Mine in Kuruman.
- Grade 12 or N3 equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Mining or related technical field.
- Blasting Certificate will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of MHSA and OHSA.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Competent Person A and B.
- 3 years' relevant experience.
- Legal Liability Certificate.
- Knowledge of mining equipment and processes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in administration, problem-solving, and project management.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and supervise a team of mining employees on a designated shift.
- Ensure that all mining activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor production targets and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure that all safety protocols are being followed.
- Train and mentor new employees to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Assist with developing mining plans and schedules to optimize production efficiency.
- Communicate regularly with other supervisors to coordinate activities and address any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of production levels, equipment usage, and employee performance.
- Assisting the Stopping/Developing team in obtaining planned production, as safely as possible, in the most cost-effective manner and within the framework of prescribed regulations and standards.
- Attending and participating in Safety Meetings.
- Understand the requirements of the MHSA Section 22 and 23
- Conduct Entry Examinations, Safe Declarations and risk assessments before commencing with work.
