**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Be able to translate the shift production plan(s) in coordination with the production supervisor and production team ensuring section team understanding, follow-through from the plan to actual production at process, equipment, staffing, materials and quality compliance level.
- Implement sectional production plans, accommodating special requirements as they may arise, and ensure that benchmarks of production efficiency are achieved within quality parameters, with mínimal wastage and optimal cost.
- Ensure that usage standards of equipment and plant are clearly understood by all in the section, and that a caring approach is followed that will ensure that plant and equipment are not strained beyond normal wear and tear.
- Liaise closely with and engage the quality department in ensuring that staff understand the standard operating procedures of the Freezer operations in the Freezer Department.
- Enforce the ‘5’S practices to ensure good housekeeping practices.
- Engage with subordinates to maintain motivation and to ensure high performance levels.
- Be able to generate reports such as production reports, short interval control reports for analysis and decision-making purposes.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric or any equivalent qualification
- Relevant Industry Experience
- 2 - 3 years of Supervisory Experience in cold rooms or freezers
- Fit medically (as a medical assessment will be conducted)
