**Brief description**

The main purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate the resources in support of current operations and the delivery of new information technology (IT) solutions for the Corporate Services area of the South African Reserve Bank.

**Detailed description**
- Manage operational planning by developing short-term work plans in line with the Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD) strategy and business plans as well as communicate on the division’s activities.
- Provide advice on the refining of policies, processes and systems and improve the alignment with related divisional processes and systems.
- Manage and facilitate the delivery of division-specific outputs, including the timeous delivery of projects and the readiness of solutions to transition into operations.
- Optimise resource use in the division, allocate work, manage the accountability of resources and provide input into cost management.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the timeous delivery of quality IT solutions in accordance with business requirement specifications.
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies (including governance and the management of risks and audit findings) in the work of the division and take specific actions for the implementation of improvements.
- Manage, monitor, evaluate and report on the quality, turnaround and impact of the division’s deliverables.
- Encourage a performance culture in the division, define performance expectations and conduct effective performance management of direct reports.
- Drive priority development for employees by promoting and supporting career management and the development of direct reports.
- Execute the IT strategy within the division.
- Drive the transformation of the Corporate Services systems through implementation and maintenance of a secured and high-availability solution.
