Purpose:
To perform the Exchange Control function in line with SARB requirements and ensure that Excon payments are compliant with the Excon rules, whilst supporting the Operating Divisions in matters pertaining to Excon compliance. Also maintaining effective and up to date bank and creditors’ reconciliation in line with standard operating procedures, and an effective and efficient systems and internal controls.

**Duties**:
Deliver an effective and efficient Exchange Control function & Reconciliations
- Deliver accurate, complete and signed off daily and monthly Excon payments, receipts and Reconciliations:

- Deliver accurate and complete Bank Accounts reconciliations
- Deliver accurate, timeous and complete Bond reconciliations
- Deliver accurate, timeous and complete Monthly Creditors Reconciliations
- Deliver accurate, timeous and complete daily activity sheets and hedge roll-overs
- Maintain complete accurate and timeous Excon Payment documentations
- Maintain sound relationship with the Authorised dealers and SARB on matters relating to Excon compliance
- Interaction with the Authorised Dealers and SARB in resolving Excon & recon related matters
- Maintenance of all relevant documentation for Excon compliance, including transport documents, bill of lading etc. in support of all reconciliations, import undertaking dispensation with SARB and audits with adequate audit trails
- Provide daily bank statements and recons to support the front office and settlements
- Perform reconciliation of bonds to ensure accurate holding at all times by the Central Repository, Strate and JSE.

Qualifications, Experience & Inherent Job Requirements:
A Financial Accounting or Management Degree is required
- At least 5 years’ managerial experience in exchange control / SARB Compliance, preferably within the public sector, corporate treasuries or commercial banks
- At least 5 years’ experience in finance/ accounting or creditors.
- Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
