Johannesburg, South Africa CAP Security Systems Full time

We are looking for a Gate Automation Technician with experience doing steel work to join our team.

**Responsibilities**
- Attend to service calls and installations as set out on a daily/weekly schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair onsite faults on sliding gate motors, swing gate motors and boom barrier operators.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults on electronic locks, intercom systems, loop detectors and safety beams.
- Carry out necessary repairs on steel gates which includes welding.
- Installations of new gate motors, boom barriers, intercom systems, loop detection, safety beams and electronic locks.
- Commissioning and handover of systems to clients.
- Quoting on new installations and upgrades accurately.
- Updating job cards with notes timeously.

**Experience**
- Sound knowledge of Centurion, Hansa and ET swing gate motors, sliding gate motors and boom operators.
- BPT, Aiphone, Commax and Comb MKII intercom systems.
- Magnetic and electronic striker locks
- Welding of gates, frames, racks and wheel sets.
- Any additional experience with other systems are welcomed. (Electric fencing and garage automation is a bonus)

**Requirements**:

- Good personal hygiene and be presentable.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Valid Work permit or SA citizenship.
- Clear criminal record.
- Minimum 3 years field experience as a gate automation technician.
- Must be willing to work overtime or after hours and on weekends when required.
- PSIRA registered

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Matric or tertiary qualifications
- Gate automation training and certifications
- Well organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Customer service orientated.
- Resolve problems and complaints as they arise timely and professionally.
- Ability to work as an individual and as a team.
- Work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
- Punctual and good time management.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: From R14,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
