**JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY**

The Machine operator are responsible and is part of construction team on site that works on land excavation. He will operate a 9ton-33ton Excavator and/or Bobcat and/or other heavy Machinery to do load carrying of big stones and brick and rubble. You must be in possession of a valid Machine specific operator licence and must have been trained to work/ operate such machinery, before being allowed to operate any such machinery on site. You are required to work in high-risk hazardous areas and to carry out Safe work practices and by wearing the prescribed protective work wear (PPE) and follow Company policies and procedures at all times. Failure to comply with Health and Safety rules and Regulations will result in a hearing and possible dismissal.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

- Perform tasks involving physical labour on site. Balance team responsibilities to contribute to a positive team spirit.
- Report unsafe use of equipment.
- Complete work in time, increase productivity and ensuring that the site is safe and secure before/ during and after site has been completed.
- Perform all work according to work orders.
- To operate machine when only been trained to do so and only if I possession of a valid Machine Operator licence.
- It is your responsibility to report to the HSE Manager when your Licence will expire and to ensure that your licence is renewed before the expiry date. The HSE Manager will make a licence renewal booking on your behalf and the Company will pay for the cost of renewal of your license/s.
- Inspect, clean and prepare machine for work.
- React to information and ensure the safe working plan of the workplace.

- A valid Machine Operator Licence/s related to various heavy machinery you will be operating

- Chevron Safe work Practices
- Confined Space Entry
- Working at Heights
- Basic Fire Fighting
- First Aid - Level 1
- Working at Heights
- Pragma/ Shell/Chevron Permit to Work (Optional)
- Hira Training (Optional)
- Rigger training (Optional)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- in a similar position: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Machine Operator License/s (preferred)
