Warehouse Supervisor

**Location**: Braamfontein, Johannesburg, Gauteng

**Position**: Warehouse Supervisor

**Salary**: R 420K - R 480K per Annum

**Job Objective**
- The primary function of the Warehouse Supervisor is to ensure that all stock items and purchase orders are raised with preferred suppliers and respective stock items delivered and issued within a 48-hour period.
- Effective and efficient management of the entire stores function inclusive of minimum stock holding levels to ensure service level deliverables to all the companies departments.
- Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies management of irregularities.

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Procurement / Warehouse Management / Finance Management.
- Computer Literate (MS Office).
- MS Great Plains (GP) experience preferred but not essential.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Warehouse (Inventory) supervising position.
- Procurement experience with well-rounded negotiation skills.

**Duties include**

**Procurement**:

- All requisitions received in writing are processed and respective purchase orders are placed with suppliers as per purchasing requisitions.
- Ensure deliveries of inventory items are received as per purchase order.
- Responsible to ensure that an accurate record is kept of purchase requisitions received, purchase orders raised and submitted to suppliers and deliveries scheduled / received within required timeline.
- Receipting deliveries: Responsible for verification of deliveries received against purchase orders raised verifying quantities, pricing as well as discounts. Capturing delivery notes on the system upon receipt.
- Procurement Budget: Ensure all procurement is kept within the pre-determined budget stipulations and budget variances are reported monthly.
- Core Vendor Evaluation: Responsible for the development of relationships with respective core vendors ensuring that service levels, pricing and respective discounts are negotiated optimally.

**Preferential Procurement**:

- Responsible for ensuring all preferential procurement documentation is on record for each vendor (e.g., BEE Certification). Continuedly review current non-compliance vendors and establish a timeframe in which to transition to preferential procurement vendors.
- Departmental Communication: Ensure daily communication on estimated time of delivery on inventory items ordered.

**Stock (Inventory) Control**:

- Responsible to ensure the effective stock and inventory management of Warehouse.
- Ensure respective stock (inventory) control policies and procedures are implemented, monitored, and reviewed on a continuous basis to ensure efficiencies and deliverables in terms of company requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring stock re-order, minimum and maximum levels.
- Leading monthly stock takes accurately and effectively within reporting timeline.
- Ensure stock take variances are thoroughly investigated and explained.
- Ensure Warehouse is neat, clean, and tidy.
- Employee Productivity: Ensure compliance with all related policies / procedures and departmental processes ensuring optimum productivity and efficiency levels are achieved in support of the objectives of the company.
- Performance Management: Review KPA’s and KPI’s periodically to ensure alignment to company and departmental objectives. Provide objective data in support of Performance Management review ratings.
- Employee Development: Performance Management processes, clearly identify training requirements (internal / external) for employees within the department to ensure employee development in support of business objectives.
- Succession Planning: Ensure that effective succession planning / employee career pathing within the department are identified and developed across all levels. Succession plans must be documented and communicated to Human Resources on a six-monthly basis.
