**Your Next Career Opportunity - Compliance and Leasing Specialist II**
This Role is responsible for existing Lease Negotiations and Lease Registrations relating to existing and operational towers, where the Lease Agreements need to be re-negotiated. This Role shall also be responsible for managing Surveyor General submissions to Surveyor General offices and managing the SG process and procedure. This Role shall report to the Site Acquisition Manager.
**What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities**
- Re-negotiating New Lease Agreements on operational towers, where current terms are unfavourable to SBA
- Managing the submission and processing of SG Diagrams with the SG Office (Surveyor General)
- Management and negotiation of all property owner related issues with respect to SG diagram registrations and Lease Registrations and problem solving.
- Managing and maintaining all controlled documents (Trackers and One Drive).
- Project managing and updating of all Permitting and SG registration progress.
- Communicating and collaborating with managers, project leaders, and Vendors for delivery of Permitting and SG registrations.
- Assist with obtaining landlord's consent in order to bring about the registration of Lease Agreements
- Conduct document audits by confirming that current documentation is up to date and done accurately.
- Managing and Data entry of current database on all Trackers and Google drive.
- Drafting letters requesting Documentation for Compliance, Permitting, and SG registrations.
- Overseeing documents and Permitting process from project inception until completion of Permitting and SG registrations.
- Improving internal processes of documentation and ensuring employees and vendors work as a cohesive unit.
- Supporting operations teams and managers in compliance and leasing tasks affecting top management’s decisions.
- Assist Operations team with access to property where Landlords have changed, as well as assisting legal in getting any required information from Landlords
- Ensuring that vendors deliver to all commitments concerning SG registration and all Permitting done for all sites.
- Keeping track of Consent Use and/or Building Plans that have lapsed or are close to lapsing and ensuring they get renewed timeously.
- Assisting Operations in signing BTS leases with respective landlords as well as bringing in new potential sites and signing leases.
- Assist SAQ manager by obtaining and managing all expired permits, and ensuring all permits are obtained within specific time frame as may be required
- Act as a liaison, providing effective collaboration and communication with external partners.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
**What You’ll Need - Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bilingual in English/Afrikaans preferred
- Associate's Degree Relevant tertiary qualification required;
- and 3-5 years Experience in law, Telecommunications / Property industry, Town and Regional Planning, and Compliance preferred. Contractual negotiations and law are advantageous.
- Town and Regional Planning; Effective Negotiating Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
- Domestic Travel 70% of the time own transport and be willing to travel long distances.
- Valid Government Issued Driver's License
