Junior IT Manager

Main purpose of the role:
We are looking for B-Logic team member with IT Management and Project Management experience, to fulfil the role of Junior IT Manager for a client in the retail industry.
The Junior IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing IT infrastructure, support services, and project implementations. This role combines technical expertise with project management and customer service, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals. The Junior IT Manager will also support field operations, manage escalations, and contribute to IT governance and compliance.
**Responsibilities**:
The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to:
Assessing current software systems in place to identify areas in need of improvement based on strategy for the years ahead.
Field Support: focus areas include, but are not limited to:
Compliance with customer rules, processes and procedures while attending to work at customer offices.
Compliance with B-Logic Onsite Statement of Work (SoW).
Escalations: focus areas include, but are not limited to:
Quickly and accurately identify P1 and P2 Incidents and or account escalations, initiating an immediate response.
Notify relevant stakeholders. Communicate updates consistently and regularly (for Major incidents, updates should be at least hourly).
Provide root cause analysis for major incident in the form of a Major Incident Report.
Analyze and resolve technical problems as they arise.
Research, Development & Advancement:
Continually research current and emerging technologies and proposing changes to support business growth.
Ensure that all systems are scalable and that they support business growth.
IT Project Management:
Project Management of IT-related projects.
Manage software development projects, overseeing the various partners and people involved.
Provide regular updates on developments on all systems projects.
Change Management:
Guide and deliver successful deployment of changes related to the business systems.
IT Standard Operating Procedures:
Ensure that there is documented Standard Operating Procedures and system notes for integrations and processes including current system design.
Database & BI Architecture:
Optimize and or implement databases and BI architecture that deliver information necessary for business decisions and day to day management.
IT Risk Assessment & Management:
Analyze and manage IT risk, that includes Cyber Security risks, Compliance, and general IT good governance.
Training & Development:
Coach and mentor IT support staff.
Manage IT Service Providers:
Manage and oversee the IT service providers involved with the clients’ business.
Manage the IT requirements and partner services related to the E-Commerce platform and integrations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
**Education**:
Matric or NQF equivalent.
A+ and N+ or equivalent certifications.
Microsoft MCSA or MCSE.
Certification in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, computer science, or related field is advantageous.
**Experience**:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the IT Management or IT Project Management field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in in the Information Technology industry; as an IT support, field support or desktop support technician.
Working with ITIL and COBIT5 frameworks (certification will be advantageous).
Managing IT Risk and Change management.
Planning and managing IT projects.
ECOM Business systems.
Sound knowledge of IT operations, networking, cloud services.
Co-ordinating multiple suppliers and direct reports to deliver on a strategy.
Managing IT infrastructure across multiple sites in a Retail environment.
