**Tygerberg Hospice requires the services of a dynamic Enrolled Nursing Assistant to work at our Intermediate Care Facility based on the grounds of Karl Bremer Hospital.**

**Job Purpose**:
The Enrolled Nursing Assistant provides patient care according to assessed and monitored individual needs, under the direction of the Professional Nurse.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Patient care
- Surgical outreach program for communities
- Wound care
- Ward rounds
- Family contacts and appointments
- Completing of administrative requirements
- Infection control
- Workplace health and safety
- Professional development

**Qualifications**:
Higher Certificate: Auxiliary Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as an Enrolled Nursing Assistant

General:
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle optional

**Experience**:
A minimum of 5 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as Enrolled Nursing Assistant

At least 2 years of the period referred to above, must be appropriate/recognisable experience.

**COMPETENCIES/SKILLS**
- Strong ability to read and write reports
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Speak a minimum of 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape
