**Job Advert Summary**:
The Group HRD Manager will be a transformative leader responsible for fostering a culture of growth, development, and positive engagement across our portfolio of 17 hotels and Support Office. This role combines strategic HR leadership with a passionate commitment to creating an environment where every employee can thrive and reach their full potential.

**Primary Purpose**

To design, implement, and oversee comprehensive human resources strategies that promote organizational excellence, employee wellbeing, and sustainable growth while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance across all business units.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources(Honours degree will be an advantage)
- Registered with SABPP (Highly favourable, but not absolute requirement)
- At least 8-10 years HR experience in a medium size ompany
- Proven work experience in _Recruitment, Performance Management, HR Administration, Unions_
- Strong knowledge of South African labour laws & labour regulation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong conflict management Skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Detailed Orientated
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Cultural Leadership & Employee Experience**
- Champion and cultivate a positive, inclusive workplace culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and purpose
- Lead organizational culture surveys and translate insights into actionable improvement strategies
- Design and oversee wellness programs that support employee mental, physical, and professional wellbeing
- Create channels for open communication and feedback across all organizational levels

**Strategic HR Leadership**
- Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and growth plans
- Drive organizational development initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness
- Implement and oversee succession planning programs to ensure leadership continuity
- Design and manage performance management systems that encourage growth and development
- Lead talent acquisition strategies for critical roles across the organization
- Develop and maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs

**Employee Development & Growth**
- Collaborate with the training department to create comprehensive onboarding and development programs
- Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development initiatives
- Design career progression frameworks that provide clear growth paths
- Establish mentorship and coaching programs to support employee development
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives

**Operational Excellence & Compliance**
- Oversee HR administration and payroll processing for all management and administrative staff
- Maintain strong relationships with unions and manage collective bargaining processes
- Ensure compliance with employment equity and skills development requirements
- Partner with IR Support Firm on legal compliance and CCMA matters
- Conduct regular HR audits to maintain operational excellence
- Develop and implement HR policies and standard operating procedures

**Required Experience & Competencies**
- Proven experience in senior HR leadership roles, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong track record of building positive workplace cultures and driving employee engagement
- Excellent understanding of South African labor law and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success in organizational development and change management
- Experience in managing union relationships and collective bargaining processes
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels

**Travel Requirements**

The role requires regular travel to properties across South Africa to maintain strong relationships with property teams and ensure consistent implementation of HR initiatives.
