The CMDB graduate within our OT Service Operations team, you will be responsible for capturing and mapping configuration items into the configuration management database (CMDB) and ensuring CMDB data integrity. He/She will ensure information from across the IT ecosystem is represented in a cohesive manner for a complete CMDB that supports OT Service Management operations impact assessment and decision-making ability.

PURPOSE

Capturing and mapping configuration items into configuration management database (CMDB) of which the data will be used in the IMSC and IMSO dashboard and reporting.

KEY TASKS

Performance & Delivery (required for all roles)

Capturing and mapping configuration items into the CMDB and ensuring the data integrity.

**Synthesis of whole systems**: Shapes and manage a specific part of the global organisation within its environment so that it is self-sustaining within a competitive context.

Requires the ability to identify the potential interaction of many and abstract variables and systems. Can identify and manage second order consequences

**Integration**: Integrates and manages interactions between a number of systems.

Requires the ability to go beyond what exists to imagine how systems might better work together and so complement each other. Identifies and addresses first order consequences.

**Systems**: Discerns trends to develop and improve existing systems.

Requires the ability to use data to discern trends, identify the difference between special and systemic cause. Can include developing systems within a specialist area.

**Diagnosis**: Monitoring and improving operational processes.

Requires the ability to draw on data in order to make a diagnosis, decide between alternative methods to address individual case(s) and recommend improvements to processes/systems.

**Hands-on**: Completes concrete procedural tasks

Real time problem solving as a sequence of steps which requires the ability to use of practical judgement, acquired through experience and learned routines to overcome obstacles.

**Required**: Good knowledge and understanding of: A+, N+, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Basic Cisco Commands, VoIP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wireless Networks,

Network Troubleshooting - Essential

**Desired**:
Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills

High Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment

Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast
- paced environment; a self-starter
