One of our clients in the Mining industry has a vacancy available for a CMDB Data Capturer Graduate to join their team.

The CMDB graduate within our OT Service Operations team, you will be responsible for capturing and mapping configuration items into the configuration management database and ensuring CMDB data integrity. He/She will ensure information from across the IT ecosystem is represented in a cohesive manner for a complete CMDB that supports OT Service Management operations impact assessment and decision-making ability.

**Purpuse**:

- Explain the purpose of the role in one simple sentence that provides a clear indication of why the role is required by the business:

- Capturing and mapping configuration items into configuration management database (CMDB) of which the data will be used in the IMSC and IMSO dashboard and reporting.

**Performance & Delivery**:

- Capturing and mapping configuration items into the CMDB and ensuring the data integrity.

**Capabilities required for this role**:

- Requires the ability to draw on data in order to make a diagnosis, decide between alternative methods to address individual case(s) and recommend improvements to processes/systems.
- Real time problem solving as a sequence of steps which requires the ability to use of practical judgement, acquired through experience and learned routines to overcome obstacles.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Good knowledge and understanding of: A+, N+, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Basic Cisco Commands, VoIP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, Wireless Networks, Network Troubleshooting Essential

**Desired**:

- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem - solving skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; a self-starter
