Water Utility Solutions, part of the Faircape Group, offers smart or prepaid water meters, alternative water solutions and management to apartment blocks and new developments around Cape Town.

We are currently looking for a **Senior Water Technician** to join our team. The Senior Technician will provide advanced technical support to the team and project management with regards to water meter projects, utility management, and general operations.

**Duties include but are not limited to the following**:
Meter and other Water projects:

- Update relevant systems with the necessary details.
- Prepaid meters - pair meters with keypad and label accordingly.
- Smart meters - program meter notification flow.
- Smart meters - install communication equipment
- Perform Site inspections for new business proposals.
- Provide site report and pics, and advise on requirements
- Arrange quotes for projects
- Project manage installations.
- Ensure that necessary information can be easily obtained and provided from the READy system when required.
- Ensure that all water alerts are reported and attended to the relevant clients.
- Able to generate prepaid tokens when required.
- Able to register meters, new customers, etc.
- Ensure that meters are correctly registered on water management systems
- All required meters can be accessed remotely
- Manage leak detection through using the use of sonic meters

**Qualifications**:

- NQF 6 or Engineering Degree

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Minimum of 3 years in the water reticulation and plumbing field with Utility management knowledge
- Relevant experience in a similar role

We offer Barista produced coffee available all day to all our staff at Claremont.

Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45 minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00.

With centrally located and modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary from R30 000 Cost to Company per month.
