**Experience and Skills**
- Have a BSc Hons degree in **Engineering Geology.**:

- Be a South African citizen.
- Have a valid drivers license and own transport.
- Be available and willing to travel and work in the field (for varying durations), both locally within South Africa and internationally.
- Possess good written and communication skills.
- Be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Have a desire to learn and grow quickly within the Engineering Geology field with a focus on tailings related work.
- Be willing to work across disciplines, and develop a diverse skill set.
- Work as a part of a team, providing support where it is required.
- Be resourceful, with good initiative and the ability to work independently.

Whilst not required, one or more of the following would be advantageous:

- Experience with geotechnical site investigations.
- Experience in 2D numerical modelling of slope stabilities in Slide (or similar).
- Experience with borehole drilling and core logging.
- Knowledge of/experience with LeapFrog modelling.
- Knowledge of hydrogeology testing/installations.
- Be in possession of a passport.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work as part of a team completing site assessments associated with the investigation and design of mining-related infrastructure.
- Undertake training and become familiar with SRKs client-specific Occupational Health and Safety requirements, as well as SRKs internal Occupational Health and Safety requirements for conducting fieldwork.
- Assist with geotechnical site investigations, both locally within South Africa and internationally.
- Assist with core logging and supervision of drilling programmes.
- Assist with filing and document control for samples.
- Assist with coordinating project schedules for site work.
- Assist with management of site and laboratory data in line with SRKs internal Quality Management System.
- Assist with compiling field reports and evaluating site data.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals.
