IT Technician

Richfield is looking for a well-organized, energetic, and dynamic IT Technician to
actively maintain and repair IT infrastructure, new installations, hardware & software
components of the organization's computers and also support these systems through
remote access or site visits as needed by management teams within the company.
The role includes but not limited to:

- Installing and maintaining IT hardware, standard software and specialized
software as per SLA requirements.
- Troubleshoots and resolves IT issues via phone, web, and in-person channels
- Ensures all incidents are resolved against SLAs
- First and second line support regarding hardware and software infrastructure
- First line support for the Telephony Infrastructure
- Carry out software and hardware rollout projects
- Implementing & Support of software products incl. but not limited to MS Word,
MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams
- Supporting the videoconferencing facility
- Refreshing computer equipment
- Installation and Support of Network & Local Printers
- Imaging of computers
- Record keeping of serial numbers of Devices
- Assist with Moodle (resetting passwords, suspending/unsuspending account)
- Assist with ITS (capturing marks, finalizing of fees)
- Racking servers
- Assist in the administration of the institution’s computer labs
- Rollout of any MICT projects

Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of information technology, computer systems and software and the
ability to do first line support on the entire spectrum of information and
communication technology operations.
- Must possess a solid understanding of PC hardware/peripheral devices, Active
Roles and Active Directory, standard operating systems (such as Windows and
Microsoft Office Applications)

- Experience:

- At least 2- 3 years’ experience IT Lab technician /IT Technician
Qualification:

- BSc IT, (A+, N+)
- MCSE/MCITP is advantageous

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg South, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
