Bar Server

Crew Life at Sea is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bar Server to join our team on board a luxury cruise ship.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Greet and welcome guests to the bar area, taking orders and serving drinks in a timely and efficient manner
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are stocked and in good working condition
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have about the bar menu
- Follow all safety and hygiene standards, including responsible alcohol service and proper handling of glassware and bar tools
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit transactions
- Collaborate with other team members, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the ship
- Attend training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on new products, promotions, and company policies
- Qualifications:_
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Bar Server in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as their ingredients and proper serving techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
- Must be able to obtain necessary visas and travel documents for international travel

Pay: R6 175,00 - R8 450,00 per month
