**Solution Architect - Cloud (Financial Services)**

**Position Overview**:
A **leading top tier financial services institution** has an exciting new opportunity available for an experienced** Solution Architect - Cloud **in their **Business Solutions and Technology Department.**

The main purpose of this position is to **develop and implement the architectural design of **cloud-based solutions **to** support business goals **and to** ensure alignment of Business and Information Technology (IT) at a solution level **within the organisation.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- _Develop _**_Solution Architectures_**_ for different projects._
- _Collaborate with the Lead Solution Architect and ensure alignment between the _**_enterprise architecture, solution architecture, architecture principles_**_._
- _Ensure that the _**_solutions implemented match the architectural designs (quality control_**_)._
- _Contribute to _**_the development of evaluation criteria for product evaluations_**_, requests for information (RFIs) and requests for a proposal (RFPs)._
- **_Assist the Lead Solution Architect_**_ in evaluating products and partners based on evaluation criteria._
- _Contribute to _**_advancing ICT standards_**_ and the _**_optimisation of the ICT facilities_**_ in the group._

**To be considered for this position, one must have**:

- **Bachelor of Commerce degree** in **Informatics**, a **Bachelor of Science degree** in **Computer** **Science** or **Engineering** as well as industry-specific qualifications.
- **Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience** in **Application Analysis**, **Architecture, Design, Enterprise** **Architecture** and/**or Solution Architecture**.
- **Post-graduate qualification** in the relevant field will be preferred.
- **Knowledge of ‘infrastructure as a service’** and **‘platform as a service’ models**.
- **Knowledge of use of Architecture frameworks and methods** - **Open Group Architecture Framework** (**TOGAF**) and **Application Data Management** (**ADM**).
- Architecture notations knowledge and skill, such as **ArchiMate 3, unified modelling language (UML) and business process model and notations (BPMN).**:

- The **population of architecture repository knowledge** and skill.
- **Continuous improvement** knowledge and skill.
- Knowledge of **building blocks and architecture principles design.**:

- **Architecture tools** knowledge and skill.
- **Solution modelling and benefits analysis** knowledge and skill.
