**Position Overview**:
A reputable **financial** **services** **group** has a fantastic opportunity available for a **Solution Architect - Payments**.**

The main purpose of this position is **to develop and implement the architectural design of solutions** to support the business goals and to **ensure alignment of Business and Information Technology (IT) at a solution level** within the organisation.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **_Develop solution architectures_**_ for the different projects._
- _Collaborate with the Lead Solution Architect and ensure alignment between the _**_enterprise architecture, solution architecture, architecture principles and information and communications technology (ICT) standards._**:

- _Ensure that solutions implemented match the _**_Architectural Designs_**_ (_**_quality control_**_)._
- _Contribute to the _**_development of evaluation criteria_**_ for product evaluations, _**_requests for information_**_ _**_(RFIs)_**_ and _**_requests for proposal (RFPs)._**:

- **_Assist the Lead Solution Architect_**_ to evaluate products and partners based on evaluation criteria._
- _Contribute to _**_advancing ICT standards_**_ and _**_optimisation of the ICT facilities_**_ in the _group._

**Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- A **Bachelor of Commerce degree** in **Informatics**, **Bachelor of Science in Computer Science** or **Engineering** plus industry specific qualifications.
- A **minimum of 6 to 8 years’ experience** in **_Payment - A_**pplication Analysis, Architecture, Design, Enterprise** **Architecture** and/or **Solution Architecture**.
- **Post-graduate qualification** in the relevant field and **payments ecosystem for interbank transfers**, **SWIFT** and **ISO20022**.
- Knowledge and skill in **Architecture Notations** - **ArchiMate 3**, **Unified Modelling Language**, and **Business Process Model and Notations**.
- Knowledge of use **of Architecture frameworks and methods** - **Open Group Architecture Framework** (**TOGAF**) and **Application Data Management (ADM).
