**Job Advert Summary**:
Feltex is seeking a dedicated **Junior Security Operator** to support the current Infrastructure and Security Specialist. The successful incumbent will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the security and integrity of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and responding to potential threats under the guidance of senior team members and the Infrastructure Specialist.

This role plays a key part in **supporting operational excellence** by monitoring security systems, assisting with incident response, supporting infrastructure maintenance activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the IT security function. The Junior Security Operator will also serve as a collaborative link between the IT security team and other departments, foster a culture of vigilance and accountability, and ensure that all infrastructure and security practices align with organisational objectives and compliance requirements.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- BSc Computer Science or Equivalent Diploma
- Knowledge of the Automotive Industry will be highly advantageous

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Policies, Procedures**:

- Abide by the IT Policies and Procedures
- Recommend changes to the IT Policies, Procedures, Standards, Protocols, Work Instructions, etc.

**IT Strategy**:

- Provide input to the IT Security of Feltex in line with business requirements
- Identify, mitigate and manage IT Risk

**IT Hardware**:

- Understand the IT Asset Tracking System

**IT Software**:

- Understand the Feltex Security Systems, including the Azure AD and related Microsoft Systems
- Understand Qualys and Manage Engine products as is used in the Feltex Security System

**Desktop (Hardware & Software)**
- Understand and assist with creation and implementation of endpoint images

**IT Security**:

- Administer security systems for the multi-user computer system
- Educate end-users of IT security risks
- Safeguard IT facilities (access control and environmental conditions)
- Assist to implement measures to ensure that any attempt at unauthorised access to information or IT system is trapped

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Investigate the use of computer technology in the organisation
- Participate in Continuous Improvement drives

**Administration**:

- Compile IT Reports
