**Job Advert Summary**: **Position**: Imports Finance Controller **Location**: Boxer Head Office **Purpose**: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Imports Finance Controller** to join our team at Boxer Head Office. This role will be responsible for the efficient administration and coordination of all finance requirements for direct imports, ensuring seamless processes in procurement, reconciliation, costing, and claims management. **Minimum Requirements**: **Minimum Requirements**: - **Diploma/Degree** in Accounting or Cost & Management Accounting. - **Experience**: At least 3 years of relevant experience (Imports experience is an advantage). - **Skills**: Intermediate Excel proficiency, strong financial acumen (SAP Finance experience advantageous). **Duties and Responsibilities**: **Key Responsibilities**: - **Procurement of Foreign Exchange Cover**: - Research and analyze the market daily. - Forecast trends and submit proposals to management. - Maintain foreign exchange schedules. - **Reconciliation and Payment to International Suppliers**: - Manage the payment process, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines. - Reconcile supplier accounts and manage the "creditors function" within the imports portfolio. - **Costing of Import Shipments**: - Evaluate all cost components of import consignments (storage, insurance, transport, etc.). - Analyze and present trends and data to management. - **Payment to Service Providers and Allocation to Shipments**: - Oversee payments to service providers and ensure accurate allocation to shipments. - Reconcile accounts and manage the "creditors function" for imports. - **Evidence of Importation to Reserve Bank**: - Collate and file import transaction evidence electronically. - Submit monthly reports to ABSA and respond to any queries. - **Claims Administration**: - Communicate effectively with the Imports Operations Controller. - Handle supplier and service provider claims, and ensure timely follow-up for claim resolution. - **Profit & Loss Reporting**: - Collaborate with the Boxer Finance team to evaluate and finalize all profit/loss values for import transactions. - Prepare and substantiate reports for the Imports Management team.
