Manager: Exchange Control

Purpose:
To perform the Exchange Control function in line with SARB requirements and ensure that Excon payments are compliant with the Excon rules, whilst supporting the Operating Divisions in matters pertaining to Excon compliance. Also maintaining effective and up to date bank and creditors reconciliation in line with standard operating procedures, and an effective and efficient systems and internal controls.

**Duties**:
Manage and deliver an effective and efficient Exchange Control function & Reconciliations
- Manage and deliver accurate, complete and signed off daily and monthly Excon payments, receipts and Reconciliations.
- Manage and deliver accurate and complete Bank Accounts reconciliations
- Manage and deliver accurate, timeous and complete Bond reconciliations
- Manage and deliver accurate, timeous and complete Monthly Creditors Reconciliations
- Manage and deliver accurate, timeous and complete daily activity sheets and hedge roll
- overs.Interaction with the Authorised Dealers and SARB in resolving Excon & recon related matters
- Manage and Maintain all relevant documentation for Excon compliance, including transport documents, bill of lading etc. in support of all reconciliations, import undertaking dispensation with SARB and audits.
- Manage and maintain daily bank statements and recons to support the front office and settlements
- Perform reconciliation of bonds to ensure accurate holding at all times by the Central Repository, Strate and JSE.

Qualifications, Experience & Inherent Job Requirements:
A Financial Accounting or Management Degree is requiredAt least 8 years’ managerial experience in: o Exchange control / SARB Compliance, preferably within the public sector/ corporate treasuries/ SARB and/ or commercial banks. o Finance/ Accounting or Creditors.3 years managerial experience.Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19.
