Senior Manager

**Overview**
This position will lead the Process Optimization Function over the entire Omnia Fertilizer division. The person is a highly qualified and experienced expert, that leads and facilitates complex plant improvement projects and optimization workshops. This position must stay abreast of world-class process improvement processes and cutting-edge systems to maintain competitive advantage for the agriculture sites. Must be able to adapt these processes to successfully achieve real-world improvements.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification

**Experience**
- 12+ years of process improvement / continuous improvement experience
- 6+ years People Management

**Duties**
Process Improvement Expert:

- Develop and implement a portfolio of process improvement initiatives of various sizes and complexity aligned to key corporate strategies
- Manage multiple, concurrent and complex priorities
- Ensure Process Safety Adherence

Drive high performance targets:

- Improving plant efficiencies through Six Sigma or Lean DMAIC projects
- Strategic evaluation of Plants and processes to drive value adding activities
- Critically evaluating existing systems and finding opportunities for improved efficiency
- Driving focused and continuous improvement
- Lead or influence a team of Lean Six Sigma certified analysts to execute projects which deliver process improvements, with measurable impact that is financial (hard or soft savings, revenue) or strategic

Quality Adherence:

- Ensure projects undertaken are executed to specified ISO standards and with excellence

Legal Compliance:

- Ensure that legal compliance audits are conducted as per Omnia policies.
- Resolve legal noncompliance's.

Leadership:

- Determine priorities for the Process Optimisation team and manage to the agreed-upon strategic focus areas
- Set direction for the team aligned with the overall goals for the function
- Motivate the team with integrity and a passion for winning
- Provide employees with timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback
- Develop employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth
- Develop the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate succession planning

**Job Competencies**
- Demonstrated proficiency with Lean tools/methods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Visio, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Knowledge of Business Process management tools
- Strong business acumen and ability to build consensus with all business partners
- Proven track record of leading successful change across functional and geographic boundaries
- Demonstrated ability to understand and document processes at varying degrees of detail
- Demonstrated experience in initiating, managing and implementing complex business Transformation projects / programs
- Ability to converse effectively and convincingly with senior management (Enterprise level) about strategic business imperatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and multiple engagement teams
- High level of professional and intellectual curiosity

- Understanding of the Fertilizer Industry, its components, and the issues facing it
