**Job Description**:
Derivco South Africa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated **Creative Lead: Gaming **to be part of our dynamic team.

**Creative Design & Direction**
- Define and communicate the overarching creative vision and direction for our gaming projects.
- Ensure alignment of creative concepts with the studio's strategic objectives and market trends.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between artists, designers, sound engineers and writers to ensure creative high-quality output.
- Drive innovation in game design and graphics by exploring new concepts and pushing boundaries to maintain a competitive edge.
- Uphold and elevate the studio's artistic standards, encompassing character design, world-building, and visual storytelling.

**Project Management and Product Delivery**
- Coordinate the end-to-end creative process, from concept development, ideation to project completion, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Maintain a strict quality control process to guarantee that all creative elements meet the standards.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to integrate creative elements into the final product, ensuring a coherent and captivating gaming experience.

**Planning & Direction**
- Develop and execute a tactical strategy for the creative & artistic design team, supporting the gaming studio strategy.
- Manage the creative & artistic design process, identifying and resolving process, quality and stakeholder issues.
- Measure creative & artistic design service delivery and implement improvements.

**Knowledge and Practices & Continuous Improvement**
- Developing, implementing, and enhancing the innovative processes essential for the seamless delivery of the creative services portfolio.
- Ensuring all creative & artistic design work meets legal and ethical guidelines, including copyright laws, data protection laws, and accessibility standards.
- Consistently explore cutting-edge technologies and propose enhancements to the creative practices, design tools, and processes, guided by a commitment to prioritizing excellence.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with expectations.
- Effective relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
- Driving stakeholder adoption of any changes that may affect service delivery.

**People**
- Planning and managing team capacity, ensuring the team is fully staffed and equipped with the resources and skillset required for team effectiveness.
- Coach team members to continuously develop their capabilities, enabling improved performance and company culture.
