**Vacancy exists for Processing Technician: Plasma Quality Release**

**Components Department (Paterson Grade B2)**

**Main Purpose**:
Checking, labelling and packing of final product prior to issue, maintaining traceability of the products destined for patient use. Rotates plasma product inventory to maintain a system of FIFO where possible. Removes and discards unsuitable blood products.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Matric Certificate
- Medical Technician/ Laboratory Assistant qualification in Blood Transfusion/ currently undergoing training.
- 1 Year relevant experience
- Registration with HPCSA (Preferable)
- Computer literate
- Driver’s license (Preferable)

**A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required**:

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work.
- A willingness to work as part of a team is essential
- Attention to detail
