- Valid RSA Driver's License
- Vaccinated against COVID-19
- Exceptional Guest Relations skills
- Ability to manage staff
- Understanding and ability to manage the different departments
- Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
- Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control
- Must have experience in lodge industry management - manage costs, stock controls and good financial acumen. Computer literacy and knowledge of pastel will be beneficial.
- Knowledge of group travel will be a benefit.
- Person must have good people skill
- Be adaptable to the requirements of a 24 hour operation and willing to understand this position
- References must be given and contactable.
- No dependency on drugs or alcohol. Willing to submit an affidavit Re above

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5 star lodge necessary
- Minimum 3 years experience in a Big 5 reserve
- ResRequest experience will be beneficial

**Package**
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience and references
- Accommodation
- Meals while on duty
- 21 days on 7 days off work cycle
- 15 days annual leave

**Responsibilities**
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodge
- Managing, Overseeing and Disciplining Staff
- Staff training and development
- Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
- Hosting Duties
- Allocation of Airport Transfers
- Little paws program
- Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
- Reporting to Group Operations Manager(s) and Head Office

**Staff Management**
- Wage costs and staff welfare
- Staff discipline
- Staff training

**Financial**
- Budget control and ensuring budgets are maintained
- Stock control and stock takes
- Maintain the correct allocations of expenditures

**Rooms Division**
- Manage the housekeeping and front office departments in conjunction with your HOD
- Ensure the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically
- Food and Beverage and Kitchen
- Ensure costs are maintained as per the required standard
- Assist with Events planning and execution
- Assist with menu planning and cost control

- Positive attitude and approach toward team work
- Hands on approach towards the guest experience
- Ability take initiative and problem solve
- Excellent guest interaction skills

- Excellent hosting qualities and knowledge of 5 star service.
- Responsible and Adaptable person in terms of work hours with a clear understanding that this is a 24 hour operation.
