**PROPOSED POSITION**

THINK is seeking a suitably qualified Pharmacist for the anticipated USAID Accelerate Tuberculosis Elimination and Program Resilience Activity (ACCELERATE 1- High Burden Areas) project to be based in Gauteng/KwaZulu-Natal, to oversee the Sedibeng and Tshwane region.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor of Pharmacy. A valid registration with the SAPC
- At least 3 years’ experience in either the Department of health or the private sector

**Advantageous**
- Clinical trial or research experience.

**Duties**:

- Providing excellent pharmacist services and appropriate study trial medication
- Maintaining study pharmacy files and documentation
- Maintaining storage recommendations for the study drug
- Assist with the ordering and disposal of study drug
- Assist with study drug preparation, packing and counting, labelling and maintaining of associated documents
- Ensuring that the study is implemented in accordance with Good Clinical and Pharmacy Practice guidelines.
- Responsible for the dispensing of drug treatments of all participants in the study.
- Foster good working relationships with clinic staff including medical practitioners
- Supervising pharmacy staff at the clinic site
- Regular reports to PI and study doctors on the progress of study
- Regular reports to sponsors on progress of trial and any study related queries
- Regular meetings with staff and site manager on the progress of study
- Jointly cooperating for mutual benefit where two or more stakeholders are involved
- Reporting and updating doctors at co-treating facilities on the management of patients
- Mentor and teach other staff in pharmaceutical discipline.
- Mentor and support members of co-treating facilities in basic pharmaceutical principles
- Facilitate trainings to ensure all staff have updated pharmaceutical knowledge and protocol training
- Ensure THINK vision, mission and values are reflected in all job outcomes
- Comply with all THINK rules and regulations and policies and procedures
- Be passionate about making the difference and add value to THINK
- Perform other duties as required
