**The Role** Treasury Manager**

1. **Job Purpose**
- Overall responsibility for treasury management for the Sub-Saharan Africa Region
- Managing the relationship with the banks in Region and banking facilities
- Ensuring adherence to the legislative requirements set by the different country central banks

**Key Accountabilities**
- Overall responsibility for treasury management for the Sub-Saharan Africa Region
- Cash and liquidity management through cash flow reporting, planning and forecasting
- Analyze and perform appropriate hedging and funding activities (Forex, loans, deposits, etc.)
- Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Managing all domestic and global banking relationships
- Review and negotiate contracts with banks on regular basis, provide regular cost benchmarks
- Maintain bank mandates and banking system users’ database
- Identify opportunities and implement treasury-related business process improvements
- Responsible for development of digitalisation journey of treasury department

Responsible for implementation and maintaining treasury management system and its related process improvements
- Collaboration with Central Treasury Team in Paris
- Lead the treasury month-end closing process including the business reviews
- Complete the Group’s monthly debt report and foreign currency report
- Develop and support treasury policies, procedures and controls
- Develop and enforce strong internal controls and ensure compliance to local regulations, Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF) and Compliance requirements
- Provide treasury support and guidance for the Region’s existing and new businesses
- Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short
- and long-range planning
- Support mergers & acquisitions and special projects as assigned by senior management
- Work with internal and external auditors
- Development of the Treasury Team in terms of skills and competencies
- Support and educate Regional Finance organisation in Treasury matters.

**Requirements**:
**1. **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- **Qualifications required to fulfil the role**
- Qualified ACCA
- Honours Degree (preferably B.Com Accounting) and an MBA
- **Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role**
- 10 Years experience in Treasury Management from an international company with exposure to working across the African continent
- Strong expertise in treasury accounting including FX, Hedging, Liquidity, Cash Flow and various financial instruments
- Knowledge of banking regulation in African countries
- Management of bank relationships and contract negotiations
- Knowledge of general treasury, forecasting, budgeting
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, credit facilities and treasury best practices
- Knowledge of finance and accounting principles including IFRS
- Experience from working with and implementing Treasury systems and related digital tools
- Knowledge of an ERP system environment, preferably SAP
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including strong Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong relationship building skills and networking with different stakeholders
