Junior/candidate Environmental Consultant

and environmental authorisation related projects, environmental monitoring projects, as well as project administration tasks. The post will be contract-based with the option to become permanent.
**What can be expected**
- Work is office-based (located in Midrand, Gauteng) with potential site visits. Site-based work requires travel and sometimes requires you to stay overnight or for a few days at an accommodation near to the site.
- Writing of reports, impact assessments and share findings with the relevant person(s).
- Advising on the best course of action based on research findings that mitigate environmental risk, while at the same time complying with environmental regulations.
- Work with clients to complete projects on time and to budget.
- Develop good working relationships with clients.
**Qualifications**
Relevant degree or diploma in environmental sciences discipline. Currently working towards or holding an Honours degree, or higher, would be advantageous.
**Key Competencies and Generic Skills**
- 0-3 years of experience in environmental consulting and/or environmental management assignments (Basic Assessments, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Water Use License Applications, Environmental Management Plans and Compliance Auditing projects).
- Must be computer literate.
- Excellent in communication and technical report writing skills.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Solution driven and critical thinking.
- Attention to detail.
- Must have own vehicle.

Based in Midrand, Gauteng Province, South Africa; with national travel as required.
**Remuneration**
Remuneration will be industry-based and discussed during interviews.
