Assistant National Volume Manager

**The Role**
The purpose of this position is to generate revenue for the group by ensurering that volume and weights are recorded 100% accurately
Avoiding any credit that may result in loss of revenue to the company
To manage the national volume team
Identify training needs and continuous training for volume checkers, debriefers and drivers
Mitigate any discrepancies, ensuring all volume equipment is always in good working order
Ensure volume processors are followed and in line with company policy and procedures
**Skills and Experience**
- Matric
- 3-5 years in related field
- 1-2 years in management experience
- Job related experience
- Logistics Diploma a plus
Minimum 1-2 years logistics’ / warehouse experience
**Key Accountabilities**
- To ensure that volume dimensions and weights reflect 100% accurately on the system and correspond with client dump files where waybills are processed through any of our integration platforms.
- Where Volume dimension and weights are recorded manually the role holder will ensure that the information is captured correctly into Sle which in turn will filter through to the billing engine. Completing volume and weights in line with weekly vat invoices and month end cut offs.
- Manual documentation must be filed in date order and kept for three years
- Any discrepancies must be investigated, and corrective actions must be put in place to mitigate any future occurrences and to avoid any credits that will result in loss of revenue for the company.
- Manager national volume team, planning shifts, activities, performance, meeting Kpi’s, weekly time sheet for salary’s department.
- Responsible for the maintence and upkeep of all equipment related to volume and weights, new installations, moves, volumizers, cube scanners and pallet jack scales, including understanding the technical aspects of each volumizer to assist with fault find prior to logging calls with suppliers
- Running and distribution of daily, weekly monthly reports, to be action by branches and floor personnel
- Training of staff, volume checkers, drivers and debriefers, ensure continuous training takes place and have an action plan to address non conformance
- Feedback daily to management on errors not fixed or any other challenges
- Client weight accounts - build good relations with client representatives in order to get information and to assist with validation of information when needed
- Investigate credits and approve where applicable, hold source of issue responsible by following company disciplinary procedure
- Perform other duties when required by your manager
Ensure that volume structures are developed, resourced, and optimised to execute against the business and operational requirements
Ensure active communications with team and key stakeholders and drive a high performing, service orientated and collaborative culture in function, across various service offerings, and support functions
Develop a highly skilled and engaged workforce within the functional area through the effective selection, onboarding, development, and management of talent
Drive continuous improvement within area of accountability whilst ensuring compliance to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements such as IMS, Pharma etc
