- Gauteng- Reporting directly to the MD.- Key responsibility is to effectively manage all warehouse activities and processes at the warehouse facility. The key areas of Receiving, Inventory Management, Kitting, Despatch and other supporting departments need to be optimally managed with the goal of achieving the Company’s financial and operational targets and objectives.- The incumbent in this position is expected to assist the Company in achieving its vision and mission. Customer focus, Company growth, and a willingness to assist are expectations from all employees.- Key Duties:
- 1. Operational Management**:

- Efficient management of all operational activities within the warehouse.
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce company operational policies and procedures.
- Manage the actual productivity and output of all warehouse operational departments namely Receiving, Inventory Management, Kitting and Despatch.
- Effective and efficient utilization of all warehouse space according to operational requirements
- Manage all equipment utilised in the operation ensuring all are serviced, repaired, or replaced when required and within budget.
- Management of all production materials including packaging within budget.
- Production planning from beginning to end, with ongoing monitoring of production progress, with input and improvements when required.
- Responsible for driving regular development and improvement of operational processes and procedures.
- Ensuring that the operational service levels are monitored and met daily
- 2. Staff Management**:

- Effective management of all Human Resources activities in conjunction with associated requirements as per the Company’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
- Optimal staff capacity planning and implementation as per productivity requirements.
- Effective timekeeping and absenteeism processes in place.
- Ensure disciplinary action is taken when required as per the Company’s Disciplinary Code and Procedures.
- Performance Management - regular performance management reviews according to Company Performance Management Processes.
- Staff Appearance - as per Company Uniform Standards and OHASA.
- Foster an environment of teamwork and cooperation, whilst creating a culture of growth and learning, and the development of staff.
- 3. Customer Relations:
- Ensures that each customers’ service level requirements are met in a cost-effective manner.
- Clear and concise communication with customers when required.
- Build a sound professional relationship with customers where required.
- 4. Property and Asset Management:
- Housekeeping - ensure housekeeping standards are met within the Warehouse as well as outside premises.
- Maintenance and repairs - 100% when required.
- Manage all Company assets such as furniture (including warehouse racking), tools and work equipment, computers, and other; as well as rented equipment or vehicles.
- 5. Security:
- Ensure all security measures are executed as per the Security Policies, Processes and Procedures are adhered to 100% at the Warehouse facility.
- Investigation of security breaches and transgression.
- Management of the on-site security service providers and guards.
- 6. General:
- Ensure budgets are not exceeded and that cost savings opportunities are maximized.
- All statuary governance and compliance such as OHASA, Labour Legislation and others are complied with.**Inherent Requirements**
- Matric + a Logistics/Supply Chain qualification preferred- 5+ years current experience in a senior logistics and supply chain Warehouse management position- Strong management skills, total of 36 reportees including 5 Supervisors - able to consistently manage a large team- Multi branch and national supply chain/logistics experience in 3PL e-commerce and/or retail- Detail orientated, meticulous, good housekeeping- Strong communicator- Key Dimensions:
