**IT Technician needed in Sandton.**

Position includes some shift work in the hotel environment with alternating weekends off. This is an on-site position to offer support to our client.

Sandton and must have their own, reliable transport and must have a driver's license.
- Server and desktop (hardware and software) installation, configuration, and support
- Printer installation, configuration and support
- Wired and wireless networks - knowledge of Firewalls highly beneficial
- Fiber and network data cabling
- PBX / Telephone systems
- Access control and CCTV surveillance
- IPTV and Video streaming
- Digital signage and Video walls
- Audio-visual and Video conferencing
- General troubleshooting
- Customer service
- Project management
- Taking ownership and accountability of all service calls logged by the hotel and guests while on shift.
- Attending to 1st level (where possible) and 2nd level IT support issues, by responding to requests in a timely manner.
- Listening to the technical needs of the client, understanding the problem, designing and implementing a solution.
- Maintaining and ensuring optimal running of systems in business setting by performing necessary and proactive IT system checks.
- Repairing or replacing damaged or faulty equipment and components.
- Recording of events, problems, and their solutions.
- End user mentoring and training.
- Escalating IT issues that require 3rd level support to vendors for assistance and resolution.

- Previous experience in a face-to-face IT support role is required

- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve complex software and hardware issues.
- Good technical documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to learning new things and growing new skill sets
