Storeman

We are looking for a storeman to start immediately. Applicants must be available immediately.

**Salary**: R10 000 per month.

**Job Description**:
The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all incoming stock is unloaded and stored correctly and safely in the warehouse. When orders come in, the Assistant Storeman will check, receive and locate the items needed and prepare them for dispatch/loading. Duties will also include driving of a forklift where heavy goods are concerned. Main Duties & Responsibilities: - Supplier deliveries / driver collections - Print applicable Purchase Order before receipt of goods - Receiving of goods - Collecting delivery notes - Checking goods to Supplier delivery note and purchase order - Quality assurance on goods received - Check for any over/under deliveries - Present relevant documentation (PO, signed delivery note) to Storeman - Returned stock - Receive goods and complete all necessary paperwork - Place stock in applicable area - Sales - Receiving of sales order from Sales / Services Department - Communicate delivery requirements to Storeman and Logistics Administrator and liaise for stock to be pulled - Liaise and assist Warehouse Assistant to get all stock pulled in time for delivery - Issue stock to driver / collecting party / Technician - Ensure all documents are signed / received - Requisitioned stock - Receive Stock Requisition from Projects Department - Ensure all necessary info is displayed - Ensure details for items required are complete and correct - Liaise with Warehouse Assistant and pull necessary stock - Issue stock to Projects - New tools - Receive tools - Complete all paperwork required - Add new tools to Tool Register under correct tool number - Present document pack to Storeman - Issuing tools - Make sure staff member is authorized to use tools with applicable Manager - Check tools to ensure they are in good working order - Ensure that authorized staff member signs the tool register when taking any tools - Receiving tools - Check tools to ensure that they are in good working order - Ensure that staff member signs tool register as proof of return - Communicate any faults found on tools to procurement and applicable Manager - Daily stock cycle counts - Cycle counts done daily should be equal to the full stock listing by the last day of the month - Quarterly stock counts - Fleet Management - Looking after the company’s fleet cars and ensuring they are in a good running condition - Booking of services Educational Requirements: - Grade 12 or equivalent qualification - Valid forklift license Experience and Skills Required: - Proven experience as a warehouse worker - Proficiency in inventory software, database and systems - Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods - Good organizational and time management skills

- Sandton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
