**Role Overwiew**
The **Deputy Team Lead - IT Administration** is a critical support role within the IT department, designed to assist the IT Admin Lead in managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, focusing on maintaining stability, scalability, and security. This role will also serve as the primary point of contact in the IT Admin Lead’s absence, ensuring continuity in team operations. A strong background in **Linux administration**, **automation**, and **Large Language Model (LLM**) management is essential for success in this role.
**Key Requirements**
**Bachelor's degree** in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related field. (Essential)
**Additional certifications** are **highly advantageous**, especially those relevant to Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, and IT security, such as:
- CompTIA Linux+
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Engineer (RHCE)
- LPIC-1 / LPIC - 2
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent security certifications
**Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the software industry.**
- 5+ years as a Linux Administrator with hands-on system management and troubleshooting.
- At least 1 year experience as a team lead, with the ability to manage, train, and develop team members effectively.
**Proficiency in managing Linux-based systems**, focusing on stability, security, and performance.
**Experience in LLM hosting**, systems administration, and troubleshooting within on-premises and **cloud environments**.
**Advanced scripting** skills in **Bash**, **Python**, or similar languages for **automation** and process optimization.
**Ability to work effectively with the IT Admin Lead** and team, promoting a positive work culture.
**Strong commitment** to customer satisfaction, **providing timely** and **efficient technical support.**
**Comfortable balancing** strategic planning with **hands-on tasks**, especially **during high-demand periods**.
**Exceptional communication skills** for both technical and non-technical audiences.
**Experience in remote work environments**.

- Co-create and manage IT infrastructure, optimizing performance, security, and reliability across on-premises and cloud-hosted systems.
- Champion security best practices, conducting routine updates and prompt issue resolution.
- Shape our technical roadmap, focusing on scalable IT infrastructure that propels organizational success**.**
**Team & Workflow Harmony**
- Orchestrate daily IT operations, prioritizing tasks and reporting progress to the IT Admin Lead.
- Lead with confidence as the primary point of contact and decision-maker in the IT Admin Lead's absence.
- Inspire growth through technical and soft-skills training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

- Innovate with automation, developing scripts to streamline routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide expert hands-on support during peak periods, especially in LLM-related processes.
