Our client a leading Financial Institution is looking for Valuations Expert to join their dynamic team.

**Job Purpose**:

- To ensure the accurate determination and daily provision of instrument and benchmark valuations, determining the true economic value across multiple asset classes and drive the ongoing development and improvement of valuations.

Results Delivery:

- Provide strategic thinking and contributions to crafting of departmental business plan based on professional knowledge and experience, to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of departmental strategy.
- Provide input into the formalisation for the divisional budget.
- Manage allocated budget by tracking costs.
- Ensure systems, products or projects delivered contributes to improve service by providing input on budgets, resources required, and process based on the understanding of costs, business objectives and relationship with external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to crafting of departmental business plan to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of strategy.
- Conduct both technical and descriptive documentation/research proactively on latest global valuation methodologies for both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure cost savings, enhance efficiency and quality of Pricing.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

- Build strategic Industry/ Global network of thought leaders and relationships utilising social media, attending, and presenting at conferences and training interventions.
- Build strong relationships with other members of the valuations team through continuous engagement and knowledge sharing sessions to ensure high delivery standards.
- Facilitate discussion sessions regarding changes to valuations methodologies as and when necessary (peer to peer discussions and client discussions) to ensure stakeholder understanding.

Process Management:

- Manage own delivery against set SLA agreements, identify and remove obstacles to delivery by taking the appropriate action.
- Prioritise urgency of determining valuations of new instruments by effectively managing and adhering to given timelines and protocol.
- Choose appropriate communication styles for different audiences by adjusting the message to the level of understanding of various audiences.
- Maintain and uphold the reputation of independence, transparency, and integrity by ensuring correct pricing models, adherence to rules in all communication forums.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders (internal/external) receive the relevant information within agreed upon timeframes to ensure they meet their own publishing deadlines.
- Conduct consultative education sessions for investors and stakeholders by unpacking various proposed pricing models and implication of the valuations process on client business as well as internal stakeholders.
- Respond to queries regarding valuations by explaining formulas/rationale used to determine the valuation of instruments whilst maintaining the independence, transparency, and integrity.
- Research and report on best practices for valuation methodologies and modelling results to ensure integrity of valuations for the company and clients.
- Utilise relevant derivative pricing models to determine an objective measure of a derivatives true value to assist investors in reaching a fair transactional agreement.
- Maintain the integrity of the valuations by considering multiple factors influencing the marketplace enabling investors to make informed decisions regarding purchases/sales of assets to generate returns/minimise losses.
- Assume responsibility and ownership of the valuation process by ensuring the accuracy and quality by collecting and verifying data from both internal and external sources.
- Review systems and processes within the team and make recommendations on effectiveness and efficiency levels by automating processes and implementing continuous improvement methodologies.
- Review work and/or systems for improvements collaboratively with team and understand the impact of these improvements.
- Be proactive in monitoring accuracy of valuation processes and results by using initiatives to develop/implement improvements in the various systems and models utilised within the Valuations Teamwork with the relevant

- Manage time and resources by adhering to timelines of operational management i.e. (40% of time spend on mechanical pricing, 20% clients, 30% process innovation and 10% longer term research).
