Our client, an exclusive luxury safari lodge, is looking for a Financial Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lodge's financial management and administrative functions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with budgeting and reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
This live-in position provides a unique opportunity to work in a stunning natural environment while contributing to the financial success of a premier lodge.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Assist with daily financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with audits and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with lodge management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to work in a remote, live-in environment and adapt to a flexible schedule.
