**SIMULATION LABORATORY TECHNICIAN X1**

**THREE-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT**

**EAST LONDON, EASTERN CAPE**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES**
- A degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Management Information Technology

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**
- Two years of working experience in a related field.

**ADDED ADVANTAGES**

- Development of teaching material and assessment of students
- Advanced Computer skills
- Experience in Community Engagement

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**

**Job Specific Knowledge**
- Technical in networking, computer hardware or software.
- Operating a PC and Mac with experience in MS Office
- Troubleshooting minor equipment malfunctions
- Operating standard audio-visual equipment: projectors, microphones, portable screens, media players, etc.

**Job Specific Skills**
- Excellent written and spoken communication language.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Time Management
- Management of student diversity e.g. education, culture, etc.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**
- Support student training & academic.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions
- Simulation Laboratory’s Records keeping
- Liaison with the external stakeholders for simulation equipment
- Integration and collaboration
- Any other duties that may be assigned to you by the HOD
