**What we expect**

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and dynamic consultant to strengthen our South African-based team. In particular,
we expect
- 3+ years of experience in banking and financial services (as industry practitioner or management consultant)
- Strong understanding of prudential requirements for banks (and insurers, to some extent)
- Post-graduate Risk, Finance or Quantitative qualification, supplemented with professional qualifications (e.g. CFA,

sustainability such as the GARP SCR certificate would be preferred
- Consulting / professional services background preferable
- ESG experience from projects or initiatives related to (preferably gained at leading financial institutions):

- Integration of ESG in strategy and bank steering
- Climate Risk Stress Testing and ICAAP integration
- Calculation of emissions (PCAF)
- Development of Decarbonization targets (SBTi / PACTA)
- Preparation of regulatory disclosure and reporting (TCFD reports, Sustainability reports)
- Ideally, knowledge of current regulatory requirements relating to ESG (in particular ECB Guide on Climate and

Environmental Risk, SA (EU)-Taxonomy, NFRD/CSRD, EBA guideline on Pillar 3 reporting) as well as other frameworks
(TCFD, Sustainable Bond Principles)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong presentation skills and an ability to effectively and credibly communicate with senior and non-technical

stakeholders in formal settings
- Experience with the delivery of high-priority projects and activities under pressurized conditions
- Experience with leading more junior team members with the execution of project tasks
- Creative and lateral thinking as well as an intellectually curious mind
- Ability to structure complex tasks in a goal-oriented way and deliver innovative solutions under tight timelines
- A keen interest in supporting business development and contributing to the commercial success of our firm
- Commercial mindset and ability to develop and grow personal client relationships and networks
- Ability to participate and contribute to marketing efforts, relationship management and commercial
proposals
