Are you a skilled procurement professional with a passion for precision and quality? Join our dynamic team in the marine manufacturing industry, where you’ll play a critical role in sourcing and procuring materials for the production of world-class custom-built catamarans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and procure all raw materials, components, and supplies required for new projects and production.
- Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers, fostering long-term relationships.
- Negotiate competitive prices, delivery terms, and contracts to meet budget and timeline requirements.
- Ensure all purchased materials meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to align with production schedules.
- Collaborate with the design and production team to anticipate material needs and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports for management.

Basic Requirements:

- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Buyer or Procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or marine industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Creating and maintaining bill of materials.
- Excellent understanding of inventory management and production scheduling.
- Knowledge of the foreign and South African supply chain landscape, including local and international sourcing.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office is essential.
- Knowledge in procurement packages such as Sage advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is advantageous.
