**Introduction**:
We are looking to appoint a Senior Category Manager to support the Enterprise & Supplier Development strategy. This role will be based at Clicks Head Office and report to the Key Accounts Executive.

**Job description**:
**Job Purpose**:

To deliver ESD category targets through the development and implementation of a category operating plan and maintain vendor relationships to meet business objectives.

**Job Objectives**:

- To develop an annual category operating plan in line with the business objectives and targets.
- To negotiate favourable trading terms to ensure vendor performance and first to market with new product launches,
- To drive the sourcing and development of private label products/ exclusive brands to create product differentiation, innovation and brand loyalty in order to increase market share and profitability.
- To negotiate and select promotional products and price to meet the promotional category sales and margin targets, while ensuring that the day to days sales and margin targets are met.
- To define the category pricing and promotions strategy aligned to overall business targets.
- To conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews with suppliers in order to continually monitor and measure value add of relationships.
- To maintain and facilitate relationships and engagements with suppliers, merchandise and marketing teams in order to meet business needs.
- To provide advice on all contracting issues with suppliers and the merchandising team in order to ensure that all parties are informed and compliant contractual agreements are in place.

**Job experience**:

- Essential:_
- 4-6 years Category Management experience
- 2 - 3 years experience managing specific objectives
- Experience working with local supplier networks

- Minimum 3 years ESD experience

**Education**:

- B Degree or Diploma in Retail, Purchasing Management or similar (Essential)
