**Purpose of the Job**:
Drive strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for the Transport & Products categories through development and execution of strategies, systems, processes and performance indicators as well as partner with keys stakeholders to ensure sustainable effective relationships and alignment with Procurement and business needs and goals.

**What you'll be doing**:
**CATEGORY MANAGEMENT**
- Drive, formulate and control the procurement for transport & products category through deployment of category managers to develop and category strategies and operating plans with approval from CPO, setting up goals and performance metrics to track category spend and managing overall performance of a category, tracking performance and reporting on results and performance (to CPO, Business Partners & relevant stakeholders) regularly to ensure execution is within agreed upon timelines and as per agreed stakeholders and to gain maximum value return and benefits for Engen.

**PROCUREMENT SAVINGS**
- Set and deliver overall category savings by performing TCO analysis, driving TCO savings initiatives and defining clear and measurable goals that challenge team to continuously improve and are implementable to ensure realization of savings target.

**STRATEGIC SOURCING**
- Build and execute cohesive strategic sourcing plans in line with procurement strategic objectives and goals through overseeing Procurement strategy development and time plan, leading strategic sourcing for high-value contracts, leading category managers to build category strategies and strategic sourcing plans, assisting with initiatives to build integrated strategic plan across-category vendors, communicating and aligning strategy with CPO and business partners, driving and developing negotiations strategy and lead negotiation as necessary to gain maximum value return and benefits for Engen.

**SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT**
- Implement and ensure effective supplier relationship management through development of supplier segmentation by category, interfacing with senior suppliers’ executives, setting supplier management targets and managing end-to-end contract management life cycle in order to maintain sustainable long-term relationships with the suppliers.

**BUSINESS INTERFACING AND SLA MANAGEMENT**
- Drive and manage interactions with key users and stakeholders to understand business needs, agree on SLA's and influence sourcing decisions and align based on business plans in order to enhance business opportunities for Engen and deliver as per agreed timelines and budget

**What you’ll have done before**:
Baseline
- NQF Level 7 (Degree in Supply Chain, BCom, Transport, Economics or related);
- CIPS Certification.
- 10 years Procurement experience including developing & executing sourcing/category strategy with 5 years’ experience in Managing Managers/Others.
- Supplier Management experience

Advantageous
- Commercial analysis/negotiations experience.
- Proven experience in a national company
